To hide the gap where the sides meet at the butt end of the guitar I installed an end wedge. I used a piece of curly maple that I cut out with a ban saw and then cleaned up with a block plane. I traced shape on carefully and then cut the outline out with a dovetail saw. Chisel out the side material between the two lines, slap on some glue and then clean it up afterwards with a block plane. Tada!
